The Goal of these Classes – First exposure to competitive style training is critical to the student’s future success. Developing good habits from the beginning helps to streamline the continued acquisition of the skills needed to compete successfully. Constantly having to break bad training habits considerably slows down progress. Therefore we are diligent in the handling of our first exposure team groups both in evaluating the student’s progress and in encouraging great training habits.

If the student and parent find that this style of class is to their liking, and their coach feels they are ready, they would be asked to move to the Pre-Team Program. There are specific skills that they will need to accomplish with a level of quality that shows they are ready to begin their journey to the competitive program.

Parents should enroll their child in this class only if they have a strong interest in their child joining the competitive team program within the next couple of years or when appropriate.

*Boys Pre-team has a 2-day per week requirement.*

Children learn a combination of flips, rolls, jumps, and kicks. Strength and agility are tested through obstacle courses and various training techniques. A progressive level system evaluates and advances children on their skill and knowledge of core values as described in the Ninja Zone creed. The levels of Ninja Zone are defined by the headband colors of White, Yellow, Green and Blue.
