Boys Competitive Team Head Coach
We are looking for an experienced men’s team coach to add to our established and growing competitive program. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, energetic, and passionate about men’s competitive gymnastics. The head coach will create a positive, trusting, and respectful environment for all gymnasts.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: This position requires 30 hours minimum up to 40 hours per week with a required minimum of 75% scheduled coaching ratio. The Boys Team Head Coach is responsible for:
- Learning all aspects of current systems.
- Learning the 27 unifying principals as well as the Mills Mission
- Coaching our level 3-10 men’s gymnastics teams as well as coaching/overseeing our boys pre-team program.
- .Create and maintain necessary curriculum specific levels/gymnasts.
- Attend/coach away meets as necessary.
- Monitor equipment for safety and appearance and communicate needs to owner.
- Keep venue neat and organized.
- Maintain accurate accounting of attendance and timesheets.
- Stay up to date on USAG rules and requirements for the men's gymnastics routines.
- Develop and maintain a system to review scores, attendance, and performance of current competitive gymnasts.
- Develop and maintain a system to evaluate prospective gymnasts from within our recreational programs.
- Continual parent communication/point of contact for the parents.
- Attend meetings pertinent to position.
- Work with Gym Rotation Coordinator for Boys Team and Pre-team classses.
- Document department procedures

Mills Gymnastics is looking for fun, enthusiastic individuals who LOVE working with children. Experience with children is required, experience with athletics is preferred. Part time hours - evening and weekend availability is required.
We have a proven training program so even if you have zero gymnastics experience, we can train you to be an excellent coach but, you must LOVE children!!
